Aok Ion Detox Foot Bath – Interesting New Experience

I went to a day spa for a relaxing massage and I also received what was called the Aok Ion Detox Foot Bath.

This is what is said about this miracle foot bath: “The foot bath is widely used to increase both physical and mental energy, vitality, and stamina. At the same time it also purges the body of toxins, chemicals, radiation, pollution, synthetics, and other foreign material clogging up the  skin, an essential part of the body’s systems of elimination. The internal cleansing promoted by an ionic foot bath also  includes parasite cleansing and liver and kidney cleansing.”*

Sounds good to me, detoxing is one of the key points in getting rid of Candida and keeping it away.

So how does the Aok Ion Detox Foot Bath actually work?

The Ion Cleanse  is a system that generates and emits a stream of positive and negative Ions, and through the processes of Electrolysis and Osmosis supports the body’s natural equilibrium. It is a pain-free, rapid and effective way to detox the body.

During an Ion Cleanse treatment the Aok Ion Detox unit delivers a small amount of low level, electrical current into the array (electrode), which results in a reaction between the array, the water and salt (added to help conductivity and increase the ionization effect), to generate positively and negatively charged ions.

When the feet are placed in the water the interaction of the positive and negative ions re-energizes, revitalizes and supports the body’s innate ability to re-balance and achieve a higher state of well being.

The ionic technique of cleansing thru the pores of the feet provides a full body purge of all vital organs, apparently resulting in a reduction of  menstrual cramps, skin problems, acne, sleep problems, restlessness, stress, toothaches, vaginal dryness, wrinkles, candida and yeast infections.

 

 Here’s what happened to me:

I put my feet into the warm water and after a few minutes the water started to turn orange. The lady at the spa said that orange water means that ions are bringing out waste from my joints. Then white flakes started pouring and this is a sign of yeast. It felt good to know that at least some of the yeast is leaving my body, but at the same time it just proved that I still have excess yeast in me. After a while came the bubbles, more on the left side than right. This was toxins from my lymphatic system. In about 10 minutest to the treatment the water started to turn brown, ugly looking muddy water. Brown water means waste from liver area. Finally some dark green colour was forming on top of the brown bubbles. I heard this was a sign that toxins from my gallbladder were being released. Obviously all those colours did not come from my body, but the machine interpreted the wastes being carried out by the ions by the colours and texture.  At least this is how the spa attendant explained it to me.

This experience was very interesting, nice to relax about 30 minutes with a foot bath but a bit gross after the water turned into sloth. Luckily they washed my feet there on the spot after the treatment!

The Results of My Aok Ion Detox Foot Bath

I think it must have done some real detoxing on me, because during the night after the treatment I felt pain on my left side. It was exactly the same kind of pain that I had felt during my juice fasting, when I began my initial Candida detox routine. Also I had horrible nightmares, which I don’t usually do. The detox must have put all kinds of wastes, physical and mental, on the move!

They said that for a good lasting detox with the Aok Ion Detox Foot Bath you should do about 10 cleanses once a week. I think I am going to leave it to this one for now, but I do believe that it actually had some detoxing benefits.

Amalgam Fillings – Heavy Metals Bind Candida

Amalgam Tooth Fillings Leak Mercury – Toxic Heavy Metal

Bad news for me: I had a dental check-up today and my dentist told me that 2 of my very old silver fillings that contain amalgam are cracked! And one of them has already made a crack in the actual tooth under it as well. These fillings are probably leaking mercury into my system. And this is something I do not need. It is hard enough to get rid of Candida without having a toxic heavy metal building up in me and binding Candida to it.

Mercury along with other heavy metals such as led and silver create an acidic environment that lacks oxygen. This in turn encourages yeast overgrowth and Candida! Mercury is also linked to many serious health problems including Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. So this is a serious problem.

Next week I’m going to a Naturopath who is testing me for heavy metals. I’m sure she will now find mercury even though I did the heavy metal detox a while ago. Then I have to go to a holistic dentist who will replace these broken amalgam fillings for me. At the moment I have 10 amalgam fillings in my mouth. I’m wondering if I really have to replace them all!

 

Liver Detoxification

This is the last thing in my detoxification routine on my journey to cure Candida. Then I can begin the actual fight against yeast in my body. I’ll be killing Candida with anti-fungal remedies. But first things first.

Sixth Step: Liver Detoxing

When doing the liver detoxing it is important to stay on the restricted Candida Diet and eat supplements to help the liver and not burden it with toxic foods. It is also recommended to do the 3-day juice fasting before detoxing the liver. Which I have done.
There is one extra supplement that I am taking to protect liver. It is a digestive enzyme called Betaine Hydrochloride with Pepsin; it assists in breaking down proteins. There are other alternative supplements to help liver but I chose to use Betaine. More intense liver detoxification methods are available and a liver flush is actually recommended, but I think that I will be fine with the routine I am on now.

Detoxing Different Areas of Body

While I am detoxing the heavy metals from my body as well as doing the parasite cleanse, I have found an incredible way to detox my gums and digestive tract in general. It is called Oil Pulling.

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurveda process to naturally cleanse the body. It consists of putting a tablespoon of coconut, sunflower or sesame oil in the mouth and swishing it around in the mouth for around 15 minutes. This has to be done first thing in the morning before having anything, not even a sip of water. The oil has to be spat out afterwards, preferably into a bin since it is very toxic and is not to be swallowed.

Swishing the oil activates the enzymes and the enzymes draw toxins out of the blood. It is also very good for teeth, making them appear whiter. I prefer to use coconut oil because of its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and it also tastes good. I do this every morning and I really think it is helping my body with detoxification.

What a horrible idea – that I might have parasites! I thought only young kids who stuff their faces with anything from dirt to what-not or people in developing countries have parasites. But I learned that anyone can have them,  and that parasites may be living in a body even for decades without being noticed. Next thing for me to do is a parasite cleanse, just in case!

Fifth Step: 14 Day Parasite Cleanse

Again, there may be many different ways to get rid of parasites, but I’m taking the easiest way out. This should still be very effective. I bought a small bottle that has these 3 ingredients mixed together: Wormwood, Black Walnut and Cloves.

This tincture works wonders but is pretty strong tasting. I didn’t mind the taste, it actually tasted like some herb based alcohol! First week I took 10 drops 3 times a day before eating. Second week I took 20 drops 3 times a day. I didn’t see any parasites, but if I had any they should be gone now.

Another thing that kills parasites in a natural way is eating lots of raw garlic, raw pumpkin seeds and coconut oil. I consumed all of these as well as the tincture since I’ve added them to my diet anyway.

Body Detoxing Continues

I have been on the Candida diet for a couple of weeks and started taken the supplements. Already I feel better, my stomach is not bloated anymore and I think the foods I eat agree with me. I didn’t know how much wheat can drag you down! I have a lot more energy without it.

My body still needs a lot of detoxing though. Candida binds to heavy metals, so I am in need of a good Heavy Metal Cleanse:

Fourth Step: Heavy Metal Cleanse

There are many ways to do a heavy metal cleansing, such as chelation therapy, but I have chosen to do a simple and less expensive way that can be done at home. I bought Lugol’s Liquid Iodine and I am rubbing it about 4 drops on each foot at night before going to bed. It is staining my feet orange but somehow the staining is disappeared by morning. I will continue this routine for 7 days.

This is supposed to cleanse some heavy metals from the body. But if you have lots of heavy metals bound in the body other more efficient procedures may be needed. I am going to do a heavy metal testing by a naturopath after treatment of Candida is finished. I want to be sure that I don’t have anything else making me sick.

Along with this Iodine Foot Rub I am eating garlic tablets every night. Garlic as well as Chlorella ( from my supplement list) enhance heavy metal detoxification!

Do I Have Heavy Metals in Me?

Heavy metals are unfortunately all around us. So it would be a miracle if you weren’t affected by them.
Toxic metals, such as led, mercury and silver, are found in our environment:

  • Pesticides and fertilizers have heavy metals in them and then we eat the vegetables and fruits that have been sprayed and grown with these. This is why we should eat organic food!
  • Mercury is often found in fish.
  • Deodorants have aluminum in them.
  • Aluminum cookware and aluminum foil leak aluminum to foods we cook.
  • Tap water is not totally pure either; industrial and agricultural waste run off to water streams with rain water. Not even water purifying plants can filter all toxins out. I always use home filtered water to drink!
  • Antacids and other pharmacy sold drugs contain heavy metals.
  • Cigarette smoke is full of chemicals and also heavy metals.
  • Dental fillings that are made of amalgam leak mercury to the body.

 

As well as doing a heavy metal cleanse I am going to try and eliminate as many sources of heavy metals from my life as I possibly can.

 

After Fasting Diet

How To Eat After Fasting?

Now that I have successfully done my 3-day fasting I can start eating again! But I must be careful and not eat hard to digest foods right away. Actually I started my first non-fasting day as I did during the fast: with lemon and coconut oil, dry brushing and shower, then the breakfast fruit juice with apples, pears and ginger. I also continued taking Psyllium Hulls combination and Bentonite clay.

Breathing Exercises

After breakfast I did some breathing exercises for 5 minutes: Close one nostril with a finger, breath in counting up to 4, then hold the breath for 5, and close the nostril that you breathed in with a finger and breath out through the other nostril. Then breath in through the same nostril you just breathed out, count till 5 and breath out through the other nostril, slowly.  Continue until you have done 10 rounds. This is quite meditative, since you have to concentrate on breathing and counting. Remember to have your mouth closed for the whole time. This breathing is done only through the nostrils. Deep breathing helps the lungs to get rid of toxins!

Eating Simple Watery Foods

Around lunchtime I had a few purple grapes. They really tasted delicious, even more so because I knew that after this I wouldn’t be eating fruit for a long time, until my Candida was cured. A bit later I had a small bowl of cucumber pieces with a bit of flaxseed oil and herbal salt. They tasted also so good! Never had such delicious cucumbers before. I think that I also have started smelling things a lot more than before. I sniffed my daughter eating liquorice and enjoyed the smell, but I really didn’t want to eat it. Just enjoying the newly found smells!

It is also good to eat small portions of whatever you’re eating; this way the digestive system gets going again better. Eating very slowly and chewing well is very important for proper digestion. The next meal I had was a small salad with lettuce, basil, cucumber and avocado. Evening meal was familiar from the diet before fasting: green vegetable soup. Any green vegetables are good; I put bok choy, zucchini, leek and onion in mine.

The next 2 days I also ate carefully, adding more food groups including whole grains to the diet but I had to follow the strict Candida diet rules. Read more about Candida Diet HERE. The second day my dinner was a Greek salad and steamed broccoli and cauliflower, on the third day I had a piece of fish. That was heaven!

Juice Fasting – Third Day

Last Day of 3-Day Juice Fasting

I’m almost there, one more day of fasting and tomorrow I can start eating again! My routine for the morning was hot drink of water, freshly pressed lemon and tablespoon of coconut oil, and then dry brushing and a shower. Dry brushing seems to make a difference, it makes me feel better for some reason!

My husband made me a breakfast: fruit juice with  watermelon, grapes and apple, to be enjoyed in warm sunshine. It was a nice feeling, flushing and nourishing my insides with these juices, lots of water and herbal teas. My back was still sore a bit, most of the day. But it was good to get finally the toxins out of the body. It feels so much lighter in the stomach.

I spent most of the day reading about the Candida and the diet I have to keep following, supplements I’m going to have to take and more detoxing routines that must be applied. Then I went for a leisurely walk to the park with my dog. Gentle exercise like walking or yoga is good during fasting. More rigorous exercise is not recommended – the body has to have the energy for detoxing and cleansing, not exercising.

For lunch I had again beetroot-carrot-apple juice, and the green drink I made from cabbage, celery, parsley, spinach, cucumber and garlic. It tasted too strong because of garlic, but that is a good anti-fungal so I thought it’ll be good for me. I decided to do the last enema on the next day instead. Vegetable broth for dinner and to bed early. My husband gave me a gentle massage on my sore back and I fell asleep. Finally I got to sleep quite well for most of the night!

Day 3 Juices:

Morning: Watermelon – grapes – apple
Lunch: Carrots – beetroot – apple
Afternoon: Green juice – cabbage – celery – parsley -  spinach – cucumber – garlic
Evening Meal: Vegetable broth

The 3-day juice fasting experience was good, it would have been even better without the aches that I felt in my back and sides. But everyone is different, my husband did not have any mentionable symptoms. He felt good for the whole time, no headaches, no cramps, no bad feelings and what is most amazing – no hunger!

 

The 2nd Day of Juice Fasting

Detoxing Continues

Second day of Juice Fasting started nicely. I did dry brushing of my skin before shower and then I applied some massage oil which had lavender and lemon essential oils in it. The skin felt really nice after that. I wasn’t even hungry which was pretty curious since I hadn’t eaten proper food for about 40 hours.

For breakfast I made a pineapple-strawberry-apple juice and I sipped it slowly on the veranda. The lovely sun was warming me up and giving me a dose of vitamin D. I felt really good, only my stomach was a little sensitive from the previous night. We went for a walk to the park and even had the energy to get a few groceries from the corner shop on the way. It was a funny feeling to see all the foods that I wasn’t going to eat for a while in the store. I didn’t crave for them at all!

For lunch I had a vegetable juice with carrot, beetroot and ginger. It tasted really good and healthy!
After lunch I should have rested and meditated, but I attended a meeting for 2.5 hours, which was a mistake. I felt really tired and my back had started aching again. I had a green juice with cabbage, spinach, celery  and tomatoes and after that I took a nap. Later I had a peppermint tea and felt better again.

Before evening meal I did my second enema and did a bit of yoga later on. For dinner I had the same broth as previous night – thank God I had made a big batch the first night! To get a good detoxing effect it is beneficial to take epsom salt baths, so I did take one before going to bed hoping to get a very good night’s sleep this time. I also had a cup of chamomile tea just before going to sleep, which was another mistake of the day!

Day 2 Juices:

Morning: pineapple – strawberries – apple
Lunch: carrots – beetroot – ginger
Afternoon: Green juice – cabbage, spinach – celery – tomatoes
Evening Meal: Vegetable broth

After this big 2. day of fasting I thought I was going to sleep well, but no. I couldn’t even fall asleep. My back and stomach started hurting on the right side this time. I stayed awake in bed but got finally up around 3 am to do some yoga and to drink a glass of water with Psyllium Hulls and Bentonite clay.  My stomach felt strange, like there were these toxins that needed to get out but were stuck. The late night tea also made me get up to use toilet nearly every hour. I finally got to sleep after heating a lavender heat pack and putting it on my side and back.

These back and stomach aches must be the symptoms of toxins coming out; my husband who is fasting with me has none of the aches I have had.  He must be  a pretty clean bloke inside!

3-Day Juice Fasting For Detox

First Day of Juice Fasting

My first day of Juice Fasting has gone really well. It has been exiting to start using the juicer and experiment with different juices. In the morning we had a fruit juice for breakfast. It is recommended to only have one fruit juice when you have Candida, or none if it is severe. We made the juice from  pineapple and strawberries – it was delicious!

No supplements are supposed to be eaten while on a fast. But to help bowel movement I took Bentonite Clay and Psyllium Hulls Combination 1-2 times a day during the fast. Also first thing in the morning I had a hot drink with freshly pressed lemon and 1 Tbs pure coconut oil. This detoxes the stomach well and gives all the benefits of coconut oil.

At lunch time we had a couple of glasses carrot and beetroot juice, in the afternoon it was time for a ‘green drink’. That included cabbage, lettuce and cucumber. It wasn’t so delicious but it was ok. In between the “meals” I had peppermint tea and ginger tea with another spoonful of coconut oil. For the evening meal we made a big vegetable soup with potatoes, carrots, thyme, garlic, parsnip, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, leek and onion. Before eating, I poured the soup through a sieve and got rid of all the vegetables, we only drank the broth. Or actually we ate it with a spoon from a bowl, trying to ‘chew’ the liquid for better digestion. I also drank filtered water as much as I could. At least 2 liters of liquids is a must during fasting, but more is even better. You really want to flush all the toxins out of the body.

Before evening meal I took the bull by the horns so to speak and did my first enema. It is highly recommended to use an enema every day during fasting. It gets toxins out from the digestive system fast and cleanses the colon from the waste that is stuck to the walls and sits there for years if it is not flushed by an enema or colonics. It wasn’t that bad at all after the first awkwardness. Then I used a natural brush to dry brush my skin from toes to the neck. This helps the skin – the biggest organ – to get rid of some toxins. After that I went to have a sauna – this again draws toxins out of the body.

After all this detoxing and having the evening broth I was quite tired and went to sleep pretty early. The first day had been good, no headaches, stomach cramps or aches, rashes or any other symptoms.

Day 1 Juices:

A surprise during the night : I woke up around midnight after a couple of hours sleep. My left side was hurting, both stomach side and back. I couldn’t sleep, got up and had a chamomile tea. I only got some relief after more toxins had come out with bowel movement BM and after applying Young Living Essential oil Panaway to my side. Then I could sleep some more, but during the night I could still feel how sore my side was. This must be one of the symptoms of toxins getting on the move and getting out of my system.
