Eighth Step: Add Friendly Bacteria with Probiotics
This is the time to add good bacteria into my system. I have learned to eat nutritious meals with foods that are allowed on Candida Diet, cleansed my intestines and I have killed Candida overgrowth with anti-fungals.
Now I will begin taking a good probiotic to establish my bowels with friendly intestinal flora. This will keep parasites and Candida away. The right probiotic supplement has to contain large quantities of lacto bifidus and acidophilus.
It is essential to have the right slightly alkaline pH level in the colon, because if the environment is too acidic the friendly bacteria will be killed and the probiotic will have no effect. So I am still eating lots of alkaline foods.
Prebiotics – What is that?
Prebiotics are food for Probiotics. The more you nourish the probiotics in your gut, the better they will survive and grow, and the healthier your immune system will be. Prebiotics help probiotics survive the journey through stomach acids to the intestines where they are needed.
Good news is that it is easy to add prebiotics in to the system by eating prebiotic foods: tomatoes, garlic, onions, leeks, asparagus, herbs and green tea.

All this and a lot more helpful information about how to cure yeast infection and Candida is in the book called ‘Yeast Infection No More’ by Linda Allen. I recommend this book, it saved me so much time and money and helped me on my way to get healthy again. It actually helped me to keep calm and focused in this stream of contradicting information about the Candida Diet.
