Dental Amalgam Fillings
It has been documented that mercury escapes from amalgam fillings and adversely affects person’s health. Even tough most scientists agree that dental amalgam fillings leach mercury into the mouth, there are studies that vary widely in the amount and whether such amount presents significant health risks. Still many clinical experiments have also demonstrated that symptoms associated with mercury poisoning greatly decrease when amalgam fillings are removed.
I had 10 amalgam fillings in my mouth and when my dentist found out that 2 of them were already cracked, I decided they have to be replaced as soon as possible. But I didn’t want my regular dentist to do it because she did not have special safety measures to dispose of the mercury vapors that would be released by drilling the amalgams.
I found a holistic dentist who used a very effective rubber band to gather pieces of the amalgam making sure they don’t drop into my mouth for me to swallow. They also used an air filtering unit close to my mouth, good suction and breathing masks for him and the assistant too. This dentist found one more chipped amalgam, so they ended up replacing 3 fillings for me. Now I have 7 more left, but I’m sure I’ll replace them later on.
Taking Care Of Heavy Metal Residues
Before going for my amalgam removal appointment I visited a homeopath who did a heavy metal test for me (see previous post). I asked the homeopath if there are anything that I should do or take to protect myself from the vaporizing mercury before or after treatment. She gave me this small bottle with a strange name: CH 77
CH77 contains Magnesium Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Chelation Agents and Oxygen. It is supposed to neutralize ionic heavy metals, such as Lead, Mercury, Cadmium and Iron, as well as Chlorine, Fluoride and other Halogens. It also prevents free radical over-production.
I will drink 3 ml of this solution with a liter of water every day until the bottle is finished and this should keep me safe from leaching mercury so that it won’t set into my tissues but is washed away.
